Technical Diving IANTD Courses in Playa del Carmen
PADI Certification | Dive Training Overview
Deep Air Diver
The IANTD Deep Air Diver program has been developed to provide responsible training to divers who plan to dive to 130 fsw (39 msw) on air. This program trains divers in skills, performance, theory and planning of deep dives. It is the first sanctioned program to provide proper international training in safe deep diving skills and performance. It is recommended that this program be taught in conjunction with the IANTD EANx Diver program.
Nitrox Diver (EANx)
This program provides recreational divers a safer breathing medium for enjoying dives in 40 fsw (12 msw) to 130 fsw (39 msw) depth range. The diver may elect to dive the mix on EANx tables or conservatively using their dive computers or air tables with an added diver safety margin.
The IANTD Nitrox Divercertification is adaptable to being taught as a single program or by combining it with a variety of advanced or specialty diver courses.
Overhead Environment - Cavern
The Overhead Environment program develops your cavern diving skills within limits of light penetration. This program is designed to ensure that divers are aware of self-responsibility and capable of risk management in overhead environments. The Cavern Diver course is the first step towards your Full Cave Diver certification.
Introductory Cave Diver
The design of this program provides an introduction to the cave diving environment of recreational divers. This course is the second third of full a Cave Dive certification. The student goes beyond cavern into the cave zone with a limit of penetration, developing the skills required for further cave explorations.
Full Cave Diver
This is the third and last part of your training for your Full Cave certification. You will get more proficient at the skills and techniques you developed in the Overhead Environment and the Cave Intro courses as well as decompression diving and theory, restrictions, jumps and gaps, circuits, and traverses. This certification qualifies the diver to partake in all aspects in cave diving.
Mixed Gas (trimix)
The IANTD Trimix Diver program is dedicated to those individuals already involved in deep diving activities. The Trimix course is not designed to be used as an enticement to divers who are content to remain in normal recreational or Nitrox diving limits. Trimix affords a safer method for deep water exploration for divers who must dive deep or perform with a clear head in intermediate depths. The IANTD Trimix program establishes the need to be self-sufficient.

The IANTD technical diver certification card is recognized by more dive shops than any other technical dive training
organization.
